The ITG Education Group recently announced its 2025 annual award recipients. Professor Lo Wai Lun, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Director of Quality Assurance at our College, was honored with the “Excellent Manager” award for his outstanding academic leadership and management effectiveness.
Prof. Lo has achieved significant breakthroughs in research innovation, technology transfer, and administrative management. Over the past year, he secured over HK$10 million in funding for frontier research in AI and health sciences and published more than ten high-impact international papers. Additionally, he led innovative projects such as the VR Teaching Laboratory and the Haw Par Mansion Metaverse system. In his role as Quality Assurance Director, Prof. Lo successfully digitized and standardized management workflows, significantly enhancing the College’s quality culture.
This award serves as high recognition of Prof. Lo’s professional leadership. He remains dedicated to driving curriculum reform and elevating academic quality, contributing to the College’s strategic goal of university accreditation and high-quality development.
