(Mar 2022) Integrated Work Study Induction Talk
On 22 Mar 2022, the CS department has organized an online internship talk for the CS students. In this talk, the CS Internship Programme Coordinator, Mr. C.H.Kay (Senior Lecturer, CS dept.) has explained to the students about the selection process for internship positions, the interview arrangement, the CS internship advisors meetings, assessment of the internship programme and the arrangement of elective courses for the students taking internship.

(Mar 2022) Integrated Work Study (IWS) Pre-pacement Traing and Zoom Mock Interview
In order to help students to prepare themselves for job interviews, the CS dept. and the Student Affairs Office have jointly organized IWS pre-pracement Traing talk to students on 22-3-2022. The talk is given by Mr. Antony Ip (SAO) In this talk, Mr. Ip has conducted mock interview to students and explained to students about the job ethics, job interview skills, CV preparation for job hunting and career development planning.

‘IWS’ was introduced in the 2019/20 academic year with the aim of providing students the opportunities to gain work experience outside the campus.  The general comments from ‘IWS’ companies were very positive and all these companies appreciated students’ attitude and work performance. Students themselves found the programme useful. Not only could they obtain practical work skills but also widen their own social network, all of these are believed to be very significant for their future careers.

(Apr 2022) 27-04-2022 IOC limited Recruitment talk – In order to provide guidance and assistance to CS year 3-4 students for their future career planning, the CS dept. has invited the Resources and IT Managers to conduct an online recruitment talk to our students. In this talk, the IOC staff have explained the business nature of the company, job opportunities in IOC, the working environment of IOC, career development and prospects of IT staff and technical training provided by the company. IOC is also one of the internship position providers of our department.
