The Department of Computer Science, the Department of Journalism and Communication, and the Curriculum Development Division jointly organized an advanced seminar on 18 March 2026. The seminar focused on the topic “AI IN ACADEMIC USE 2.0: Automate Your Research. Amplify Your Creativity.” and was held at W201.
Our guest speaker was Mr. Carlos HUI, Lecturer from the Department of Journalism and Communication. He introduced the transition from the first generation of Generative AI, which required manual effort for every task, to the new era of AI 2.0, which introduces intelligent automation that works for you.
The seminar took place at 11:00 am. During his presentation, Mr. Carlos HUI guided attendees on building integrated workflows to transform how they handle information. He demonstrated how to connect DeepSeek, ComfyUI, Minimax TTS, and n8n into seamless pipelines. These automated pipelines can effortlessly summarize complex documents, generate visual references, and produce natural-sounding audio summaries in any language.
