A team of three students Mr. William Chau, Ms. Chan Wah Chun and Ms. Ng Chi Ching, from the Department of Computer Science was presented with the “OSH Student Research Scholarship” for the Academic Year 2016 by Occupational Safety and Health Council of Hong Kong (OSH). The title of awarded project is “Anti Sleep Driving Application on Android” under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Ken Lau Chun Yin. The research team aims to develop a mobile Apps for Anti-Sleep Driving Applications.

A team of three students from the Department of Computer Science was awarded EyeTrack Award in First Tobii Innovation China Plan organised by Tobii Technology in April 2013. Our team was one of the three teams from universities in Mainland China and Hong Kong selected for the award. The team comprised three undergraduate students: Chan Pak Ngai, Chan Chun Wai and Wong Kin Ting, supervised by Dr Fu Hong (Assistant Professor), Dr Lo Wai-lun (Professor) and Dr Cheung Kwok-wai (Associate Professor). The title of awarded project is “Eye Tracker Aided Medical Image Browsing System”. The research team aims to develop and apply computer vision and eye tracking technologies into a medical system to be installed in hospitals.

Chu Hai Students Win EyeTrack Team Award in 1st Tobii Innovation China Plan

A team of three students: Chan Pak-ngai, Chan Chun-wai and Wong Kin-ting, from the Department of Computer Science was presented with the “OSH Student Research Scholarship” for the Academic Year 2012 by Occupational Safety and Health Council of Hong Kong (OSH). The title of awarded project is “Posture training system for load lifting by Kinect” under the supervision of Assistant Professor Fu Hong. The research team aims to develop an interactive system to reduce injury caused by improper lifting posture.
