The Department of Computer Science welcomed new students to Hong Kong Chu Hai College through two Orientation Day sessions for the 2026-27 academic year. Students joining the Master of Science in Applied Artificial Intelligence (MSAAI) programme attended their orientation on 3 September, followed by new Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Science students on 4 September.
MSAAI Orientation Day
During the MSAAI Orientation Day, academic staff introduced the programme and helped students prepare for postgraduate study. The session gave the new cohort an opportunity to meet members of the teaching team, learn about the academic arrangements for the year, and raise questions before classes began. The event concluded with a group photo marking the start of the new academic journey.
Undergraduate Orientation Day
The undergraduate Orientation Day introduced new BSc Computer Science students to the programme, its academic requirements, and the learning support available to them. Teaching staff also guided the students through the department’s computer laboratories and facilities, helping them become familiar with the environment in which they will study and develop practical computing skills.
The two sessions gave both cohorts a clear introduction to their programmes and a warm welcome to the Department of Computer Science. We wish all new students a rewarding and successful academic year.
