Project Summary
The spirit of Mr. Aw Boon Haw on ethics, moral and artful packages, together with the historical buildings and figurines, needs to be inherited in a comprehensive and innovative way for culture preservation and education. In appreciating, researching and learning heritage in a more effective way, a Metaverse system will be developed to facilitate adjusting and tailoring learning experiences for individual needs in a Metaverse environment through interactive, immersive and collaborative learning pathway for the learners. Currently, the project has a successful start with several important areas in the Tiger Balm Garden being developed, including Tiger Pagoda Tower, Ten Courts of Hell, Haw Par Mansion, and several figurines. However, there are a number of important areas in the Mansion and the Garden have not yet developed, including the staircases, second floor, toilets, bedroom, and the balcony. There are further landscapes in the garden that are to be developed. The interactive and collaborative checkpoint stations, including the Ten Courts of Hell, have not been fully developed. There are important figurines that have not been reconstructed. This project will further extend and developed these initiatives, with the objectives in promoting the spirit of Mr. Aw on moral ethics, providing a comprehensive platform for cultural and heritage preservation, enhancing the teaching and learning through the developed platform, cultivating the professionalism on fine art logistics, and increase public awareness on the heritage of Tiger Balm Garden (Aw Boon Haw Gardens).
