The Second China Overseas Intelligence Development Conference, hosted by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and the Fujian Provincial Government took place from December 16-18, 2024, in Fuzhou. Themed “Innovating for Development, Creating the Future with Overseas Intelligence”, the event will focus on industries such as AI, digital economy, and new energy, featuring forums, exhibitions, and talent exchanges. The president Ms. Jane Zhang and the Head of department of Computer Science Prof. Wai Lun LO have attended the conference and Prof. LO has visited the International Digital Economy College of Minjiang University on 17 Dec 2024.
As part of the conference, the Cross-Strait & Overseas Chinese Principals’ Roundtable will focus on “Innovation in Talent Development in the AI Era”, exploring AI’s role in education, talent cultivation models, and the integration of technology and humanities. Over 120 global university leaders, scholars, and industry experts are expected to attend.
The roundtable begins on December 17, with keynote speeches and thematic discussions, and concludes on December 18. Travel and accommodation for invited guests will be covered by the organizing committee.
