(May 29-31, 2024) The 6th International Conference on Software Engineering and Development (ICSED 2024) and the 6th International Conference on Big-data Service and Intelligent Computation (BDSIC 2024) were held successfully at Hong Kong Chu Hai College. This year’s conferences utilized a combination of onsite and online methods to accommodate participants from around the world.
The conferences brought together renowned experts, researchers, engineers, academicians, and industrial professionals to share their insights and advancements in the field of software engineering, development, big data services, and intelligent computation.
Program Chair Prof. Wai Lun LO delivered the Opening Remark, setting the tone for the conferences. The conferences were further enriched by the presence of distinguished keynote speakers who delivered excellent speeches. Prof. Cheng-Zhong XU (IEEE Fellow) from the University of Macau in China, Prof. Yiu-ming Cheung (IEEE Fellow) from Hong Kong Baptist University in Hong Kong, China, Prof. Witold Pedrycz (IEEE Fellow) from the University of Alberta in Canada, and Prof. Xudong Jiang (IEEE Fellow) from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore captivated the audience with their insightful keynote speeches.
In addition to the keynote speakers, the conferences featured invited speeches from professionals in the field. Prof. Yudong Zhang from the University of Leicester in the UK, Prof. Abhijit Sen from Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Canada, Dr. Chen Zhang from Hang Seng University of Hong Kong in Hong Kong, China, Prof. Chinthaka Premachandra from Shibaura Institute of Technology in Japan, Assoc. Prof. Maizatul Akmar Ismail from the University of Malaya in Malaysia, and Assoc. Prof. Pengfei Chen from Sun Yat-sen University in China shared their valuable insights and research findings.
