We are pleased to announce that Dr. Tsang, Sik-Ho Harris has been appointed as an Honorary Assistant Professor by the Faculty of Dentistry (Restorative Dental Sciences), The University of Hong Kong.
Dr. Tsang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and has recently collaborated with the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Hong Kong, focusing on an automated detection project for gingival diseases. His research areas include medical data and image processing, deep learning, and artificial intelligence, such as computer vision and large language models. Our recent collaborative work, “GumAgent: Towards an Accessible Gum Disease Detection Tool Leveraging Vision Language Model” has already been accepted in 2025 International Conference on Information Communication and Signal Processing (ICICSP).
Dr. Tsang expressed his great honor and gratitude for the appointment by the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Hong Kong, and looks forward to the CSC/HKU collaborative research team making contributions to medical engineering algorithms, artificial intelligence, and machine learning applications.
